Astrid is a Brooklyn-based bilingual filmmaker and journalist with over seven years of experience in content production, specializing as a creative director, video editor, and cinematographer. She recently earned her M.S. in Journalism and Documentary from Columbia University in New York.
She has produced branded content for NGOs and created educational media for the Secretary of Education and various public agencies in her home country, Colombia.
Astrid is a visual storyteller with a BFA in Film and Cinematography who combines a strong artistic vision with thorough investigative research.
Her most recent work is a 30-minute documentary about two young rival street crews in Bed-Stuy who joined a gang restoration program led by a former Bloods member.
